How we handle money and access
Effective
No vendor can pay to be included in a comparison, to be ranked higher or to change a score. Rankings follow our methodology and nothing else.
What we disclose
Today no vendor pays us, we use no affiliate links and we have not accepted free access to any product. If that changes, we will say so in two places:
- on the page, next to the recommendation it affects;
- on this page, with the date it started.
Affiliate links
If we add affiliate links later, a vendor that pays us commission is scored on the same rules as one that doesn’t, and we will show the disclosure before the link.
Free access and trials
Where we test a product on a free trial open to anyone, we say which plan we used. If a vendor gives us access that the public can’t get, we say so on every page that uses it.
